Why Copenhagen?
To me, Copenhagen is the perfect combination of calm, inspiring and energetic. The city offers endless fashion, art and architectural inspiration, while at the same time, so many beautiful places to slow down and recharge, from the parks to the harbour swimming spots. It’s also just where I feel most at home.
Where to Stay?
- Airbnbs: Indre By for more of a city vibe, Nørrebro for a more vibrant and creative feel, Nordhavn for great swimming spots and Frederiksberg for the parks and calmness.
- Audo House: For a beautiful design hotel close to cute swimming spots in Nordhavn.
- Villa Copenhagen: Central and beautiful, with a rooftop pool, sauna and gym.
Where to Dine?
- Baka’d Busk: The best plant-based food in Copenhagen. Cute and intimate, located in Nørrebro and perfect for a summer evening.
- Graziano: Immaculate Italian food and atmosphere.
- Auren’s Deli: Fresh, organic produce that’s perfect for lunch. Their sourdough with olive oil is to die for.
- Mangia: Italian pasta—and make sure to order the tiramisu.
- Alletiders: Seasonal dishes served on a tray to share. A great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and laptop-friendly.
- Lido: Great coffee from La Cabra and the perfect BMO. Also laptop-friendly.
- Flere Fugle: Get the white bean hummus with sourdough.
Where to Drink?
- IO Japanese Teahouse: A little slice of Japan in Copenhagen.
- Sing Tehus: Great matchas.
- La Cabra: The best coffee in Copenhagen—I said what I said.
- Rosforth & Rosforth: A wine bar underneath a bridge, right by the water. Perfect for a glass of wine or kombucha and a swim on a summer evening.
- Bar Vitrine: A cute wine bar in Indre By.
Things to Do?
- Louisiana: My favourite art museum in Denmark. Overlooking the sea, it offers both modern and contemporary art. It’s a little outside Copenhagen, but so worth the trip.
- Kunsthal Charlottenborg: A great contemporary art museum in Indre By. Afterwards, get a coffee or drink and sit outside at Apollo next door.
- V1 Gallery: Lots of great contemporary artists on display. It’s located in the Meatpacking District, which is definitely worth exploring too.
- Walk a lot: Around the lakes, through Ørstedsparken, Kongens Have, Søndermarken or Frederiksberg Have.
