End of Month Notes: July
A note from Liv, Founder & Creative Director
It has been almost a year since we moved into our new office and showroom space and almost 4 months since we opened it to the public. The space has taken on a new form over the winter months: the winter sun streaming through our office, coffee breaks under the autumnal elm trees at Theccca and AP Bakery, and the dusky pink sunsets over the city viewed out the window have been magical. There has been something really special about having our retail and HQ under one roof: a depth of community that MAISON ESSENTIELE has always been about: and we truly are just getting started.

In July month we launched Drop 2 of our Pre-Fall ‘25 collection — a season that feels like the most us yet. An evolution of our signatures: crisp shirting, beautiful silks, updated lace and our new conscious knitwear to layer, mix and match. Pre-Fall has also been our first foray into outerwear — vintage silhouettes in a fun, scandi inspired cowhide that feel like the natural next chapter for the brand. This is just the beginning of a category we’re so excited to build out, with new pieces and materials arriving soon.
To mark the launch, we hosted an intimate evening in our showroom — a gathering of customers and friends of the brand. Natural wines and bites served on vintage silverware - and the kind of night that reminds me why we do what we do — building not just collections, but community.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been deep in work on what’s coming next: our Resort and Spring Summer collections, a few very special interstate pop-up plans (can you guess where? more on this soon), and an upcoming team trip to Paris — a working holiday to meet with buyers, create content, and source inspiration. I’m also heading to Amsterdam and Copenhagen.

We’ve also created our MAISON ESSENTIELE City Guide of our very own city - Sydney — a curated edit of our favourite local spots to eat, walk, and shop. A love letter to where we call home, because there is something beautiful about falling back in love with your own life when your feed is filled with nothing but European summer. Read HERE for our favourite cosy wine bars in winter, or walks to try in the Sydney winter sun.
