End of Year Notes

As we move into the new year, we reflect.

2025 was a year of creative momentum, collaboration, and connection — marked most recently by a moment shared together at Bert’s in Newport, Sydney, closing out the year with our team by the water.

To our community, thank you for being part of this chapter. To look ahead, the MAISON team sat down to recap the year that was and share personal reflection from meaningful milestones and travel, to what we’re carrying forward, what we’re leaving behind, and what ‘intentional’ means to us in the year ahead.

Most meaningful moment from 2025 for MAISON ESSENTIELE & personally?

Liv:
Connecting with our community will always be my favourite past time. From opening our new Darlinghurst concept store (the MAISON ESSENTIELE Showroom), our Paris gifting suite and our Melbourne Pop Up - each have been so rewarding to meet with our community IRL. We also started expanding our categories - including our best selling leather & cowhide pieces - and can’t wait to continue to expand our outerwear collection in 2026.

Where you spent Christmas?

Lil: I spent Christmas in South Australia at our river house. We’ve been visiting Hindmarsh Island since I was 5 years old so it holds a lot of special memories. I took the time to switch off and spend quality time with my family.

What you returned to?

Rosie: Pilates, ocean swims, and a conscious step away from screen time. Recently, my friends and I started a book club — a small ritual that’s brought a sense of accountability and intention. Our first read, Heart the Lover by Lily King, has been a beautiful place to begin.

What you’re leaving behind?

Sammi: Very much in line with the Year of the Snake, I’m leaving behind what no longer serves me. 2025 brought important lessons, and I’m entering 2026 with a sense of clarity — focused on creating with intention, confidence, and space to evolve.

What is helping you ease into the New Year?

Liv: The early weeks of January for me are about a full reset: unsubscribing from emails, people and creators who no longer serve me; cleaning up my phone and background desktop clutter; letting go of clothes and possessions that feel misaligned; and creating more mental and physical space.
